DOVER RECREATION BASKETBALL IS STARTING EARLY THIS YEAR!

All grades will begin practice the week of October 20th!

BASKETBALL PRACTICE SCHEDULE

K–2nd Grade Basketball
Wednesdays
Wingdale Elementary School Gym
5:30 PM – 7:00 PM

3rd & 4th Grade Basketball
Tuesdays
Dover Middle School Gym
7:00 PM – 7:45 PM

5th & 6th Grade Basketball
Tuesdays
Dover High School Gym
7:45 PM – 8:30 PM

7th & 8th Grade Basketball
Thursdays
Dover Middle School Gym
7:00 PM – 7:45 PM

9th–12th Grade Basketball
Thursdays
Dover High School Gym
7:45 PM – 8:30 PM

PLEASE NOTE: If practice is delayed due to high school games, we will either practice after the game has ended or move to another gym.

We look forward to another great basketball season! 

K-2nd Grades

  • Beginners develop all the skills needed to learn how to play the game of Basketball.
  • Children will get an understanding of how the game is played and practice the skills needed to play.
  • They play a modified version of the game.
  • After week 3 each child is put on a team depending on how many children are in the program depends on how many teams we have.
  • Games take place on Monday evenings anywhere from 5:30 PM-6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM.

3rd-4th Grade Basketball

  • Each child will practice once a week and games take place on Saturday's anywhere from 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM.
  • Teams will be chosen during the 2nd week of practice.

5th - 6th Grade Basketball

  • Each child will practice once a week and games take place on Saturdays from 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM.
  • All teams will be chosen during the 2nd week of practices.

7th - 12th Grade Basketball

  • Each player will practice once a week and games take place on Saturdays from 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM.
  • Teams will be chosen during the 2nd week of practices.
